SURROUND YOURSELF WITH HAPPINESS

If there is one piece of advice that I could everyone, it would be to document your favorite moments in life! Whether you use a camera, video camera, or journal, when you have the opportunity to later go back and visit those special moments, you can't help but feel happy!
You don't have to be a professional, and it doesn't have to look perfect or written well. Just having the ability to revisit those happy times for just a moment will fill you with joy. You can keep your memories private in a journal, or share them in albums or frames. Every moment has a story and although some are not so happy, if you document the ones that are, you can always go back for a little while!
Here are some of my favorite moments. I'm no professional, but none-the-less I love these photographs as if they were. You better believe they will be displayed in my home!

Peace & Love,

Tea Parties aren't just for little girls!

Yesterday, I had the wonderful pleasure of dining at LuLu's Tea Room in Powell, TN.  Talk about a hidden treasure! This tea house is in the quaint town of Powell, just north of Knoxville. When you walk up to the Victorian style home, you would expect to walk inside to pastels, gold, and lace. So not true! My friends and I were greeted at the door by the effervescent and vivacious Deana, nicknamed LuLu. She was incredibly sweet, hospitable and she rocked some feathers in her hair!
The inside decor was the definition of shabby chic, with vintage dinnerware and serving ware, and LEOPARD PRINT!  Not only was the decor of this tea room awesome, but the food was out of this world!! I chose to have the chicken almond quiche with tomato dill soup, and I'm still craving some more the next day.  My friend Natasha and I split a slice of red velvet cake, and I must say it was the best red velvet cake I ever had! Please, Please, Please, if you are ever in the area, you must experience LuLu's Tea Room!

Deana "LuLu" is on the far right!

If you're ever in the Knoxville Area...

If you're ever in the Knoxville area and you love shabby chic, vintage finds, you MUST stop by Chintzy Rose in Halls Crossroads. If you get overwhelmed by the awesomeness of this store, don't fret! You can take a break for soup, a sandwich, and some fabulous sweet tea! Warning: This is not the kind of place you can stop by for just a few minutes! Give yourself an hour or two, or make it date!

The owners also specialize in refurbishing and repainting antique furniture.  Check out this article about Chintzy Rose. You don't want to miss this hidden treasure!
