"I love things that are old, that have history, humor and life." - Atlanta Bartlett

Hello fellow bloggers and followers!  Sorry for the delay in posts, I've had a busy past week! Wedding planning, going to a wedding in Charleston, SC, and some minor heath issues have kept me from the blogging world.  What I did have time to do was read an article in Fleamarket Style Magazine about designer Atlanta Bartlett. If you loved my post about White Palettes, you should really read this article, or even buy some of Atlanta's design books.
"Atlanta Bartlett.  This British Designer and book author creates relaxed spaces with vintage furnishings and paler-than-pale hues." - Flea Market Style Magazine
Why I love her!

"I love things that are old, that have history, humor and life," says Atlanta, who fills her signature white interiors with recycled treasures.  Her secret to making a minimal palette memorable? "Mix different shades of white," she says... She also makes sure there is a pop of bright color to tease out a smile, like yellow blooms, or fuchsia detail on an armoire..."
"Texture adds depth and soul...I use texture like a paint and palette.  I like to blend and mix textures.  Try mixing shiny metal with lovely rough linen, or a beaten-up armchair with woven baskets and twinkly glass."
Even if you can't afford Atlanta's products, check out her website or buy her books for awesome ideas! She may be my mother from another grandmother!!
